{"id":271900,"date":"2026-05-15T06:36:16","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T06:36:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/271900\/"},"modified":"2026-05-15T06:36:16","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T06:36:16","slug":"miami-police-arrest-man-accused-of-posting-mass-killing-threats-online-wsvn-7news-miami-news-weather-sports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/271900\/","title":{"rendered":"Miami police arrest man accused of posting mass killing threats online &#8211; WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MIAMI (WSVN) &#8211; A Miami man was arrested after police said he posted threats on Instagram about killing \u201cas many people as possible\u201d before taking his own life, according to an arrest report.<\/p>\n<p>Marc Harold Leverant, 42, faces a charge of written threats to kill or do bodily injury after investigators said he used the Instagram handle \u201cmlablive\u201d to post violent threats targeting multiple locations and public figures, including Miami Fire Rescue, Miami Dade College, Miami Worldcenter, Lady Gaga and David Geffen.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office Real Time Crime Operation Center alerted City of Miami Police on Wednesday morning about the threatening social media posts. <\/p>\n<p>Investigators later linked the Instagram account to an apartment near Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said officers located Leverant near his home and transported him to Miami Police headquarters for questioning. <\/p>\n<p>Detectives later interviewed Leverant after reading him his Miranda rights, according to the arrest report.<\/p>\n<p>A judge later found probable cause and issued a $7,500 bond. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Sunbeam Television Corp.
