SAVE Action PAC<\/a>, the political arm of SAVE<\/a> (Safeguarding American Values for Everyone), just announced its first round of strategic endorsements for the 2026 election cycle<\/p>\n

The \u201cSAVE Selects\u201d list includes former Assistant Secretary of Labor and Sen. Jos\u00e9 Javier Rodr\u00edguez, who is running for Attorney General.<\/p>\n

The group is also endorsing Democratic candidates in several high-profile South Florida races, including Rep. Mitch Rosenwald in House District 98; former Miami-Dade School Board member Lucia B\u00e1ez-Geller in House District 106; SAVE Executive Director Todd Delmay, who is seeking the House District 101 seat; and Democratic State Committeewoman Dinah Escarment, who is running in House District 108.<\/p>\n

SAVE is South Florida\u2019s oldest LGBTQ rights and advocacy organization. Each candidate provided statements to mark their endorsement.<\/p>\n

Rodr\u00edguez, who hopes to supplant<\/a> incumbent Attorney General James Uthmeier, said he is \u201chonored to once again have SAVE\u2019s endorsement and grateful for its continued leadership in the fight for equality.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSAVE stood with me in my State House and Senate races, and I am proud to stand with them again in this campaign,\u201d he said. \u201cAs Attorney General, I will defend civil rights, protect vulnerable communities, and fight to ensure every Floridian is treated with dignity under the law.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rosenwald, an openly gay lawmaker seeking re-election in Broward County-based HD 98, where he currently faces one Primary challenger, called the endorsement \u201cdeeply meaningful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am proud to continue standing with SAVE to protect LGBTQ+ Floridians, strengthen our communities, and ensure our state government reflects and respects the people it serves,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Baez-Geller, who faces one Primary opponent while also seeking to oust a Republican incumbent in HD 106, pointed to her previous work with SAVE on education and inclusion issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the Legislature, I will continue standing up for communities who deserve leaders willing to protect their rights, their safety, and their freedom to live openly and with dignity,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Delmay, who is seeking to challenge Republican Rep. Hillary Cassel in Broward\u2019s HD 101, framed the endorsement as political and personal.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know how much is at stake for Floridians, our families, and everyone who believes in a fairer state,\u201d he said. \u201cI am running to bring that fight to Tallahassee and ensure our community has a strong voice in the Florida Legislature.\u201d<\/p>\n

Escarment, one of four candidates running for the open HD 108 seat in Miami-Dade County, said her campaign is focused on communities \u201ctoo often left out of decision-making.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSAVE\u2019s endorsement is an honor because this work is about protecting families, defending dignity, and making sure every community has a voice in Tallahassee,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

SAVE officials said the endorsements come after months of municipal organizing efforts in Miami, Miami Beach and Surfside designed to strengthen the group\u2019s turnout and voter-contact operations ahead of 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cSAVE is not stepping into this cycle from the sidelines,\u201d SAVE Director of Advocacy and Communications Miles Davis said in a statement. \u201cWe have been knocking doors, contacting voters, mobilizing volunteers, and building trust in the communities that will help shape the 2026 election cycle.\u201d<\/p>\n
