NEW YORK \u2014 Kodak Black was arrested on Thursday in Florida for the second time in eight days.<\/p>\n
The rapper \u2014 who in 2018 legally changed his name from Dieuson Octave to Bill Kapri \u2014 was booked on charges of resisting an officer\/obstruct without violence and attempting to flee law enforcement, according to records from the Broward County Sheriff\u2019s Office. His bond was set at $0.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a self surrender from yet another \u2018investigation\u2019 that just happened to also take 5 months to \u2018investigate\u2019 for allegedly fleeing and alluding,\u201d Kapri\u2019s attorney, Bradford Cohen, told TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not unexpected, as this is usually the procedure we go through where there is an unfounded weak arrest and then followed up by yet another arrest for cases that allegedly take 5 or 6 months to investigate,\u201d he continued. \u201cAt this point I think everyone agrees that Kodak is consistently being targeted.\u201d<\/p>\n It comes just more than a week after 28-year-old Kapri was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on May 6 and booked on charges of trafficking more than 10 grams and less than 200 grams of MDMA, according to Orange County\u2019s online records.<\/p>\n The count stems from an incident in November 2025, when officers responded to a report of gunfire near a nonprofit called Children\u2019s Safety Village<\/a> in Orlando, Florida. When they arrived on the scene, they were met by Kapri, who\u2019d been standing near a pair of idling vehicles at the time.<\/p>\n
