The application deadline is June 5, 2026<\/p>\n

The Town of Davie is partnering with the Broward County City Managers\u2019 Association, Inc. (BCCMA) for the 2026\u00a0Scholarship Program<\/a>.\u00a0Applications<\/a>\u00a0are being accepted now through Friday, June 5, 2026, by 5 p.m.<\/p>\n

The program is designed to support students pursuing education and careers in Public Administration. The BCCMA scholarships can be used for expenses associated with academic endeavors at a college or university for students studying public administration, political science, or a government-related field.<\/p>\n

Eligibility Requirements<\/p>\n

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must:<\/p>\n

Be enrolled during the summer or fall of 2026 and pursuing a bachelor\u2019s or master\u2019s degree in an accredited program administered through a campus in Florida;<\/p>\n

Be pursuing a major\u00a0in public administration, political science, or a government-related field;<\/p>\n

Be a permanent resident of Broward County;<\/p>\n

Have a minimum cumulative unweighted grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale), verified by a school transcript.<\/p>\n

Government employees who are receiving full tuition reimbursement from their employers are ineligible.<\/p>\n

Applying to the Program<\/p>\n

The items below are required to be considered for the scholarship:<\/p>\n

Qualifying students must submit a completed application;<\/p>\n

The application must include an essay telling us about your educational aspirations, future goals and career plans in public service, and why you believe public service is important;<\/p>\n

Official transcript;<\/p>\n

A resume, which includes offices\/leadership positions held, community service projects, fundraisers, or other activities.<\/p>\n

Two letters of recommendation are required to be considered for\u00a0the scholarship.<\/p>\n

BCCMA\u2019s main purpose is to regularly bring together local government professional administrators to stimulate the highest standards of public service and administration and to promote good fellowship and closer intergovernmental relationships. Supporting educational endeavors are aligned with BCCMA\u2019s goal of community problem-solving and improving the quality of life for the residents of Broward and the various communities we serve.<\/p>\n
