(CBS12) \u2014 A heavy fire at a St. Lucie County home prompted a large response from fire rescue crews after the house was heavily engulfed in flames Friday morning, according to the St. Lucie County Fire District.<\/p>\n<p>According to the SLCFD, crews arrived at the scene around 7:15 a.m. and found a house with multiple rooms on fire near the corner of Southwest Irving Street and Southwest Ray Avenue with heavy smoke rising from the home.<\/p>\n<p>See Also: <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/news\/local\/florida-tradition-port-st-lucie-community-association-no-guns-common-areas-firearms-open-carry-concealed-carry-permit-2a-second-amendment-gun-rights-public-safety-debate-st-lucie-county-guns-board-meeting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Tradition community association letter bans guns in common areas, upsetting some residents<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Firefighters on scene performed a routine fire attack, searching the home and evacuating all surrounding residences, per SLCFD.<\/p>\n<p>SLCFD reported that there were no injuries on scene, although photos show the fire burned a hole into the roof of the home.<\/p>\n<p>The American Red Cross was requested to assist the homeowners with the incident, according to SLCFD.<\/p>\n<p>SLCFD says they&#8217;re continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"ST LUCIE COUNTY, Fla.
