ORLANDO, Fla \u2013 A bicyclist died after being hit by a an SUV Friday night near Shader Road and Orange Blossom Trail, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n
Troopers said the crash happened about 7:44 p.m. May 15.<\/p>\n
According to an FHP press release, a 2023 Kia Telluride was traveling east on Shader Road when the bicyclist was traveling west in the eastbound travel lane. <\/p>\n
Troopers said the bicyclist was in the SUV\u2019s direct path and the vehicle struck him.<\/p>\n
The bicyclist, a 67-year-old man from Orlando, was taken to AdventHealth Orlando, where he was pronounced dead, FHP said.<\/p>\n
The SUV driver and two passengers, all 18-year-olds from Orlando, were not taken to a hospital and stayed at the scene, troopers said.<\/p>\n
The crash remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
