Brown, 31, of Palm Beach Gardens, was arrested Saturday morning and charged with second-degree murder with a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm or ammunition.The West Palm Beach Police Department responded to a shooting the night of April 2, 2025, after receiving a 911 call and after ShotSpotter technology alerted 911 dispatch to a shot having been fired.When officers arrived at the scene, they found a Black man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head located in the rear parking lot of 1100 Henrietta Ave.Your neighborhood: Local coverage from WPBF 25 NewsOfficers attempted lifesaving measures until paramedics with West Palm Beach Fire Rescue arrived at the scene to continue aid for the victim.The victim, identified as Renelle B. Lubin, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:05 p.m.A witness told detectives they heard gunfire and then saw from a living room window a white man with a rifle enter a vehicle.Through investigative measures, West Palm Beach Police Department detectives were able to identify a white Jeep Compass that was at the scene of the shooting and then left.The vehicle was tracked to a home in Palm Beach Gardens. The next day, officers spoke to Brown\u2019s mother, who said Brown was en route to the home. Officers staked out the residence until Brown arrived.When he arrived, Brown went into the residence with his mother. Officers from West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens surrounded the home. A search of the home led law enforcement officials to discover Brown\u2019s cellphone, which had been used to make calls to the victim.Detectives were also able to determine that Brown\u2019s cellphone had been in the area of the shooting.Although the shooting happened in April 2025, formal charges were not filed until Dec. 2, 2025.During a court appearance Sunday, a Palm Beach County judge denied bond to Brown on the latest murder charge and set bond at $100,000 for the firearm possession charge. An order for no contact was also filed.Brown has faced serious criminal charges in the past.According to Florida Department of Corrections records, Brown was sentenced to five years in state prison after pleading guilty to false reports of a crime, grand theft and fraudulent use of fictitious personal identification information.He served prison time from Aug. 21, 2017, until Nov. 17, 2024.Get the latest news updates with the WPBF 25 News app. You can download it here.Brown was also charged in the killings of two men, Sean Pollum, 20, and Brian Tanksley, 33, from an Oct. 8, 2015, homicide in West Palm Beach, but in November 2016, the state attorney\u2019s office decided not to prosecute those charges.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
