He was a four-star prospect by 247Sports and ESPN, with 247Sports ranking him No. 246 nationally, No. 19 among safeties and No. 28 in Florida.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-5\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6n\">The 6-foot-2 defensive back finished his Miami career with 31 tackles and two passes defended over 25 games in three seasons. He played four games as a true freshman in 2022, then became a more regular piece in 2023 and 2024. His best football came in the 2023 Pinstripe Bowl against Rutgers, when he finished with a career-high eight tackles.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-6\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6q\">Williams made his first career start at Syracuse late in the 2024 season and had three solo tackles in the Pop-Tarts Bowl against Iowa State. <\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-7\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"6t\">Oklahoma State is in a way different situation than the one Williams left at Miami. The Cowboys are going through one of the biggest roster resets in the country under new coach Eric Morris after a 1-11 season and the end of the Mike Gundy era.
