Soccer, tech and international business have helped Miami\u2019s sports business ecosystem surge over the past few years. <\/p>\n

Apple, MLS\u2019s primary media rights holder, established a significant office in town; Microsoft opened its Latin America headquarters; Amazon, Blackstone and Goldman Sachs all expanded existing operations; and Subway expanded its existing headquarters to support international operations.<\/p>\n

Miami-based companies account for 15 local naming rights, on-field logos, and\/or uniform sponsorships, including Hard Rock (the Dolphins\u2019 naming-rights partner), Kaseya (Heat naming rights) and Royal Caribbean (Inter Miami\u2019s jersey).<\/p>\n

Inter Miami delivered $223.8 million in estimated social media value to its partners in 2025, more than any U.S. team.<\/p>\n

The city\u2019s recent r\u00e9sum\u00e9 includes hosting the Capital One Orange Bowl (since 1935); MLB\u2019s All-Star Game and World Baseball Classic; Soccerex\u2019s annual Americas conference (since 2018), a gathering of more than 2,000 executives from international clubs, leagues and federations; 2025 Green Sports Alliance Summit; and the 2026 Discover NHL Winter Classic at loanDepot Park.<\/p>\n

Miami has hosted 11 Super Bowls, tying New Orleans for the most. However, the construction at Hard Rock Stadium that was required to permanently house tennis\u2019 Miami Open presented by Ita\u00fa and the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix makes it unlikely that the Super Bowl will return to town any time soon. The CFP National Championship is expected in 2030, for the third time in a decade.<\/p>\n

After hosting eight Club World Cup matches in 2025, seven World Cup matches are on tap this summer, which gives it a higher combined total than any host other than New York\/New Jersey.<\/p>\n

Home Base: Carnival Cruise Lines; Concacaf (the regional soccer governing body for North America, Central America and the Caribbean); law firm Greenberg Traurig; IMG Academy; Kaseya; Rosenhaus Sports Representation; Royal Caribbean; and Telemundo.<\/p>\n

New to Town: FIFA\u2019s U.S. corporate operations (2024); FC Barcelona (2025) relocated its North American commercial headquarters from New York, where it had been since 2016; PGA Tour Cadillac Championship (2026) wrapped up earlier this month at Trump National Doral; Inter Miami\u2019s 26,700-seat Nu Stadium at Freedom Park opened in April.<\/p>\n

Key Numbers: Miami has 24 hotels under construction (5,317 rooms), trailing only Dallas, Phoenix and New York City for the most active projects. Per diem in the winter months tops $300, one of the priciest spots in the country, although that number hovers around $250 the rest of the year.<\/p>\n
