I mean, after all, people have to protect themselves,\u201d one resident said.The decision comes through a resolution passed by the Board of Directors of the Tradition Community Association, the top HOA in Tradition.According to the resolution obtained by WPBF 25 News, the only exceptions to the restriction would include private rights-of-way and sidewalks, vehicles and law enforcement.Another resident told WPBF 25 News they were surprised by the announcement.\u201cI can\u2019t believe that there\u2019s never even a discussion about this. I never heard anything till I got something in the mail,\u201d the resident said. The association states in the resolution that it has the authority to create rules and regulations and enforce covenants and restrictions for properties under its jurisdiction through its charter and bylaws.WPBF 25 News also spoke with Erik Perez, a South Florida attorney who specializes in HOA law.
