{"id":275955,"date":"2026-05-19T01:12:14","date_gmt":"2026-05-19T01:12:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/275955\/"},"modified":"2026-05-19T01:12:14","modified_gmt":"2026-05-19T01:12:14","slug":"port-st-lucie-woman-dies-in-utility-vehicle-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/275955\/","title":{"rendered":"Port St. Lucie woman dies in utility vehicle crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Special to Lake Okeechobee News<\/p>\n<p>OKEECHOBEE \u2013 A 34-year-old Port St. Lucie woman died from injuries sustained when she was ejected from a side-by-side utility vehicle on May 16, according to the Florida Highway Patrol report.<\/p>\n<p>The FHP report states the accident was reported at 3:56 p.m. on May 16, at a rural private property, 2102 N.W. 240th Street.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 CanAm Maverick X3 was driven by a 25-year-old Vero Beach woman.<\/p>\n<p>According to the FHP report, the side-by-side was traveling eastbound on private property located at 21021 NW 240th Street in Okeechobee County. After accelerating, the vehicle made a left turn and lost control. As a result, the vehicle overturned, ejecting the right\u2011front passenger. The vehicle came to final rest upright, facing west. The right-front passenger was transported by air to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, where she\u00a0was\u00a0later pronounced deceased.
