The Lee Board of County Commissioners recently reappointed Pamela Cronin and Jay Johnson to the Lee County Tourist Development Council.<\/p>\n
Both Cronin and Johnson will serve four-year terms.<\/p>\n

Cronin and her late husband, Tom, owned the iconic Shell Factory & Nature Park, for 27 years. It closed in 2024, and she currently owns The Shell Factory, a clothing and gift shop, at Southwest Florida International Airport. Cronin was first appointed to the TDC in 1998.<\/p>\n

For 30 years, Johnson has been the owner of Bubba\u2019s Roadhouse & Saloon in Cape Coral. He has worked in the hospitality industry his entire career, including 12 years with Sheraton Hotels. Johnson was first appointed to the TDC in 2022.<\/p>\n
In 2022, the BoCC voted to add four ex-officio nonvoting seats to allow each of the municipalities a seat on the TDC. These four additional members represent the incorporated municipalities not currently serving on the TDC in one of the two municipal rotating seats.<\/p>\n
The TDC was established as an advisory board to the BoCC in 1983 to increase off-season tourism in Lee County.<\/p>\n
