PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 She stepped out of the shower, reached for a towel, then froze in horror. A stranger stood inside her bedroom, snapping a picture.<\/p>\n
Port St. Lucie Police are investigating an occupied burglary after an unknown man entered a home on SE Gidding Road and took a photo of a woman who had just stepped out of the shower. <\/p>\n
At around 6:16 a.m. on Monday, police said the resident was in the shower while her husband was asleep in their home. Police said after stepping out and grabbing a towel, she saw a man who wasn’t her husband wearing a white shirt \u2014 apparently taking a photo of her. <\/p>\n

Her husband awoke and also saw the intruder as he ran out. Video shows the man running across a driveway after the alleged incident.<\/p>\n Bill Cassinelli and Tanya Torrance think they heard him. They live a few doors down.<\/p>\n “It\u2019s crazy. I was just out here reading the news on my phone, and I hear this crash in the bushes. I\u2019m like, ‘what was that?’ Torrance recalled.<\/p>\n Casinelli added, “I said I think there’s a big animal in the woods.” <\/p>\n “The neighbor comes out, and he\u2019s like, ‘Hey did you see that guy?’ I was like, ‘No, but I heard him’,” Torrance said.<\/p>\n The Port St. Lucie Police Department described the man as having short hair, wearing a white shirt with an unknown logo on the back, and dark-colored shorts.<\/p>\n Monday evening, officers returned to the neighborhood to gather more video evidence and warn residents. They believe the same suspect may be involved in a second incident in the same area that occurred Sunday night.<\/p>\n \u201cWe don\u2019t see a lot of occupied burglaries in this city. It\u2019s uncommon. That\u2019s why it\u2019s so concerning because we don\u2019t know how this is going to progress, what this individual\u2019s intentions are,” Port St. Lucie police Chief Leo Niemcyzk told CBS12 News.<\/p>\n The investigation remains active and ongoing.
