A Jacksonville man is facing multiple charges in Onslow County and extradition to Georgia after warrants allege he accepted payments for trailers and services that were never provided.<\/p>\n
Anthony Martin Walton, 53, was arrested on May 18 by the Onslow County Sheriff\u2019s Office. According to warrants, Walton is charged with extradition\/fugitive from another state, obtaining property by false pretenses, failing to work after being paid, and felony conversion.<\/p>\n
A magistrate\u2019s order dated May 5 lists a theft by deception case out of Georgia.<\/p>\n
Warrants allege Walton accepted $19,819 from a victim on April 11, 2025, in exchange for goods that were never provided. Warrants also allege Walton accepted $8,965 from Christopher Lowery on June 6, 2025, as payment for a personalized trailer he did not build. <\/p>\n
In another case, warrants allege Walton accepted $9,634 on Aug. 1, 2024, as payment for services related to building a personalized trailer, but the trailer was never built, and Walton avoided communication or explanation. Warrants also allege that on Sept. 4, 2025, Walton sold a trailer owned by another victim and did not provide the proceeds from the sale to the owner.<\/p>\n
Walton is being held in the Onslow County Jail without bond.
