(CBS12) \u2014 An 11-foot <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/topic\/alligator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">alligator <\/a>lurking near the entrance of Eagles Landing Middle School in <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/topic\/Boca%20Raton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Boca Raton <\/a>disrupted the Monday morning routine.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/topic\/Palm%20Beach%20County%20School%20District%20Police\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Palm Beach Schools Police Department <\/a>said that its officers and wildlife experts moved quickly to secure the campus and remove the massive reptile.<\/p>\n<p>The approximately 225-pound alligator was spotted in a canal near the school\u2019s entrance, prompting a swift response for student safety.
