Cape Coral City Council is expected to vote on a near $1 million bid for the Hector Cafferata sidewalks and turn lane project Wednesday.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
If approved, Resolution 124-26, will award a bid to Andrew Site Work, LLC for the $865,000 project with a 5% city-controlled contingency in the amount of $43,250 for a total of $908,250.<\/p>\n
The project will include new sidewalks on the north side of Embers Parkway from El Dorado Boulevard to Chiquita Boulevard, as well as a new right and left turn lanes at the intersection of Embers Parkway and Northwest 19th\u00a0Place.<\/p>\n

Resolution 124-26 is part of the city\u2019s consent agenda, meaning there will be no council discussion unless a member of the elected board \u201cpulls\u201d the item for discussion.<\/p>\n
Consent agenda items frequently include contract awards for requests for proposals solicited by the city, purchase orders, work authorizations and the like and are approved as a package.\u00a0<\/p>\n
There is no public input before consent agenda votes.<\/p>\n

If approved the contract is to be completed in 90 calendar days from the notice to proceed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Resolution 109-26 is for the approval of an Economic Development Incentive Participating Agreement between the city and Liberty Health Park, LLC pertaining to the construction of a commercial building. The Business Infrastructure Grant is $197,636.<\/p>\n

According to agenda documents, Liberty Health Park has constructed a new 2,583-square-foot banking facility at 2524 Liberty Park Drive, which is occupied by Incredible Bank. The total cost of construction for the project is $1,976,360.<\/p>\n

Resolution 101-26 is for an agreement between the School Board of Lee County and the city\u2019s Parks and Recreation Department to operate a summer camp at Cape Elementary School, 4519 Vincennes Blvd. The seven-week, full-day summer camp will be held from June 8, through July 25, for children ages 5-14. The program will include games, arts and crafts, field trips, and other activities. The school district will provide the building, and breakfast and lunch through the USDA Summer Food Program.<\/p>\n

The city will pay $1,980 to use the facility. According to agenda documents, \u201cthe program is estimated at approximately $150,000 in revenue and expenses for a net neutral program.\u201d<\/p>\n

The council will also discuss the Jaycee Park concessionaire term sheet during its Wednesday meeting.<\/p>\n

The meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, in City Council Chambers, 1015 Cultural Park Blvd. The meeting is open to the public.<\/p>\n
