TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The first witnesses are expected to take the stand Tuesday in the trial of Tamylon Williams and Joseph Walker.<\/p>\n
Williams and Walker are accused in a deadly shootout outside Half Time Liquors<\/a> back in October 2022. Eight people were shot and one man, Demario Murray, was killed in the exchange of gunfire. Police say he was an innocent bystander. <\/p>\n The terrifying scene was caught on surveillance camera as dozens of people gathered in the liquor store parking lot ducked for cover and ran for their lives. <\/p>\n An FDLE crime lab analyst testified previously that they found at least 85 shell casings<\/a> at the scene. <\/p>\n Williams and Walker are facing charges of second degree murder, attempted second degree murder, possession of firearm by convicted felon, and improper exhibition of a firearm.<\/p>\n Opening statements and testimony are set to begin Tuesday morning and the trial could last through Friday, court records show.<\/p>\n Williams and Walker are two of the four men arrested<\/a> in connection to the shooting. <\/p>\n Court records show William Thomas was sentenced just last week to 4 years in prison for possession of a machine gun and De\u2019Arius Cannon<\/a> is serving a 13 year prison sentence for attempted manslaughter and improper exhibition of a firearm.<\/p>\n To keep up with the latest news as it develops, follow WCTV on Facebook<\/a>, Instagram<\/a>, YouTube<\/a>, Nextdoor<\/a> <\/a>and X<\/a> (Twitter<\/a>).<\/p>\n Have a news tip or see an error?
