{"id":27745,"date":"2025-10-31T09:40:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-31T09:40:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/27745\/"},"modified":"2025-10-31T09:40:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-31T09:40:11","slug":"woman-left-home-and-disappeared-found-crying-for-help-4-days-later","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/27745\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman Left Home and Disappeared, Found Crying for Help 4 Days Later"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> NEED TO KNOW<br \/>\nFour days after Kelly Marie Catrambrone, 37, was last seen leaving her Florida home, she was found stuck in a muddy and swampy river on Oct. 28The discovery came after she was heard crying for helpShe&#8217;s expected to make a full recovery<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_2-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> After a 37-year-old woman who was missing for days was heard crying for help, she was discovered safe, but stuck in the mud among mangroves on the edge of a Florida river.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_4-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> On Friday, Oct. 24, around 5 p.m. local time, Kelly Marie Catrambrone was seen by her family walking away from her Port St. Lucie home, according to police reports reviewed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hometownnewstc.com\/news\/st_lucie\/missing-woman-found-entangled-in-mangroves-in-st-lucie-river\/article_4f07a929-e70c-546a-b116-06d4fe8c52b7.html\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hometown News<\/a>. She was not reported missing for three days, Sgt. Dominic Mesiti of the Port St. Lucie Police Department told the outlet.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_6-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> \u201cAccording to the family, she often wanders away from home, but she usually comes back,&#8221; Mesiti told Hometown News. &#8220;But this time, she didn\u2019t.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_10-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> That Monday, authorities began searching the 700 block of NE Emerson Street, saying she \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/r\/171Fswky6r\/\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"externalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">may have wandered into a body of water<\/a>.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_12-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> By the following afternoon, on Tuesday, Oct. 28, some of Catrambrone\u2019s possessions were located near the edge of the St. Lucie River, prompting an \u201cextensive search.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_14-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> Search and rescue teams continued to comb the area as darkness fell \u2014 and by 9 p.m., SWAT Technician Kraviec from the police department was flying a drone when he \u201cheard a faint cry for help,&#8221; according to police. The sound was coming from across the body of water.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_16-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> Shortly after, a 911 caller reported hearing \u201ca woman crying for help\u201d in an unknown location near the river.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_20-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block mntl-sc-block-html\"> As officers continued the search, local Herb Yancy offered up his boat to help after Kraviec saw movement in the swamp.
