The project would add new sidewalks on the north side of Embers Parkway from El Dorado Boulevard to Chiquita Boulevard.There would also be new right- and left-turn lanes at the intersection of Embers Parkway and NW 19th Place.The Cape Coral City Council is considering whether to approve a $908,000 contract with Andrew Site Work for the project.Surfside Boulevard ProjectCity Council is also looking into whether to approve a $463,000 contract with P&T Lawn & Tractor Service, Inc. for landscaping and irrigation improvements along Surfside Boulevard medians.The beautification effort will span medians from the intersection of Surfside Boulevard and Trafalgar Parkway to SW 22nd Place and Veterans Parkway. The scope of work involves removing existing vegetation, installing new landscaping and irrigation systems, and maintaining the medians for six months post-installation. Shelby Parkway Median ProjectThe Cape Coral City Council will also consider whether to award a $341,000 contract to P&T Lawn & Tractor Service for the beautification of Shelby Parkway medians, aiming to improve roadway safety and aesthetics. City staff members were directed by the City Transportation Advisory Committee in February 2025 to identify unimproved curbed medians for foundational landscape improvements.
