{"id":278433,"date":"2026-05-20T18:45:13","date_gmt":"2026-05-20T18:45:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/278433\/"},"modified":"2026-05-20T18:45:13","modified_gmt":"2026-05-20T18:45:13","slug":"allegiant-adds-fort-lauderdale-nonstop-routes-in-fall-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/278433\/","title":{"rendered":"Allegiant adds Fort Lauderdale nonstop routes in fall 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"responsive-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Allegiant Air Stock.jpg\"   width=\"1200\" height=\"674\" title=\"Allegiant\u2019s new low-cost flight options out of FLL include routes to Boston, Pittsburgh, Omaha, Nebraska, and Kansas City, Missouri.\u00a0\" alt=\"Allegiant\u2019s new low-cost flight options out of FLL include routes to Boston, Pittsburgh, Omaha, Nebraska, and Kansas City, Missouri.\u00a0\"\/><\/p>\n<p>        Allegiant\u2019s new low-cost flight options out of FLL include routes to Boston, Pittsburgh, Omaha, Nebraska, and Kansas City, Missouri.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>                Kevin Carter<\/p>\n<p>            Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>As one airline exits Fort Lauderdale, another is expanding its footprint.<\/p>\n<p>Allegiant Air is expanding service with four new nonstop routes out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport starting in the fall.<\/p>\n<p>The low-cost airline <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.allegiantair.com\/press-releases\/press-release-details\/2026\/Allegiant-Adds-Eight-New-Nonstop-Routes-Expanding-Service-to-Florida\/default.aspx\">announced the routes<\/a> on Tuesday May 19, with prices starting at $59.<\/p>\n<p>The new  flight options out of FLL:<\/p>\n<p>BostonOmaha, NebraskaPittsburghKansas City, Missouri<\/p>\n<p>The expansion comes as the airport continues to adjust after the loss of Spirit Airlines.<\/p>\n<p>In the early-morning hours of May 2, Spirit canceled all flights across the U.S., Caribbean and Latin America, citing a collapse driven by insurmountable financial pressures and a \u201csudden and sustained rise in fuel prices.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the Miami Herald, travel analysts have warned that Spirit\u2019s absence  <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/living\/travel\/article315777586.html\">could push fares higher<\/a>, particularly at FLL, where the airline  carried the largest share of passengers.<\/p>\n<p>Allegiant\u2019s Boston route is  scheduled to begin Oct. 1 with introductory one-way fares starting as $79. Flights to Omaha, Kansas City and Pittsburgh  begin Oct. 2.
