TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Tallahassee Reckoning are hard at work ahead of the club\u2019s third season of existence.<\/p>\n
It was a record breaking sophomore campaign for the Reckoning, one which saw the club make its first ever postseason appearance. Now the club looks to build on 2025 this summer with a roster full of new names.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think what we did a little bit different this year was taking a longer approach and making sure that all the pieces matched so that they complement each other,\u201d said head coach Izzy Cotto of his roster\u2019s construction in 2026. \u201cWe don\u2019t have any two players that share the same positional profile, but rather this one is good at A, this one is good at B, and together they\u2019re really, really solid.\u201d<\/p>\n
Among those returning however is forward Zamiyah Hill with the second year striker optimistic about the mix of old and new this summer.<\/p>\n
\u201cHonestly, we\u2019re so excited to build off of [last season] and it\u2019s a new scenery, new people, but it\u2019s not going to change anything,\u201d said Hill of the culture being established in the club. \u201cWe still have some of our core people and we\u2019re going to try and bring that same environment, same energy that we did last year.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tallahassee Reckoning opens its home slate on Saturday against Sporting Jax at Gene Cox Stadium. First kick is set for 7 PM.<\/p>\n
