You drink too much Fireball in college, you throw up and you eventually move on from that nightmarish cinnamon whiskey. That\u2019s what usually happens (at least in this one writer\u2019s experience), and then you\u2019re off the stuff forever. Well, unless you\u2019re this Florida woman with a recent DUI arrest that\u2019s going viral for all the wrong reasons.<\/p>\n
MORE: Bryson DeChambeau reveals his next chapter … as a moon-landing truther<\/a><\/p>\n Erika Mayer of Palmetto was arrested last week<\/a> after an alcohol-fueled joyride around Streamsong Golf Resort, in which she was eventually located sitting next to her crashed red 2018 Hyundai. According to a witness and the Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office, she had driven over parts of the nearby golf course and appeared incoherent when found by deputies.<\/p>\n Her alleged slurred speech and in-and-out balance were certainly due to the 21 opened mini bottles of Fireball and two empty bottles of 99 Brand liqueur, all found in the car. There was also an unopened 10-pack of 50-milliliter Fireball Cinnamon Whisky bottles.<\/p>\n \u201cErika stated that she had not consumed any alcohol, despite the odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath,\u201d wrote Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd<\/a>. \u201cErica refused to participate in Field Sobriety Tests, and refused to provide any breath samples. She stated that she has been told by friends and social media that it’s a bad idea to do field sobrieties.<\/p>\n \u201cShe has surely heard over the years from her friends and social media that drinking and driving is a very bad idea, yet here we are.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Sheriff Judd, Mayer was eventually arrested and charged with: DUI (M2), DUI with Property Damage (M1), and Refusing to Submit to a DUI Test (M2). She was also cited for Failure to Drive in a Single Lane and Open Container within a Vehicle.<\/p>\n This is certainly not the first mini bottle of Fireball consumed on a golf course \u2026 but it\u2019s most likely going to be the most expensive.<\/p>\n
