The Miami Dolphins had a robust 2026 NFL Draft class \u2014 welcoming 13 new draftees to the organization as well as a plethora of undrafted free agents. On Wednesday, those new players had an opportunity to welcome more than fifty Special Olympics athletes to the team\u2019s practice facility for games, autographs and photos.<\/p>\n
Travis Wingfield \u2014 host of the Drive Time Podcast and Dolphins media member \u2014 spoke with multiple Dolphins rookies about what it meant to them to have a chance to give back to the welcoming South Florida community.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a great opportunity to get mixed in with the kids and show the love back to the community that loves us,\u201d offensive lineman, Kadyn Proctor, said. \u201cIt\u2019s so fun. This should be a safe place for them to come and just have fun with us. That\u2019s the least we could do.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to Wingfield, Wednesday\u2019s event was just the first of many planned offseason activities \u201cdesigned to engage the rookie class with the South Florida community,\u201d with goals of \u201cbuilding relationships, fostering understanding and creating meaningful connections that contribute to a more unified South Florida.\u201d<\/p>\n
