A baby-faced gangbanger got 15 years in prison for the killing of rapper Julio Foolio<\/a>, who was hunted down and murdered as part of a gang beef. <\/p>\n

Judge Kimberly Fernandez threw the book at Alicia Andrews, 23, for her role in the fatal shooting of Foolio<\/a> \u2014 whose real name was Charles Jones II \u2014 on June 23, 2024, during the rapper\u2019s trip to Tampa to celebrate his 26th birthday, according to a report by the Tampa Bay Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Andrews, who was 21 years old and just 5 feet 1 and 110 pounds at the time of her arrest, was convicted by a jury last year of manslaughter for stalking Jones with her boyfriend and co-defendant Isaiah Chance, as Jones went club-hopping with his pals.<\/p>\n

Andrews and Chance \u2014 who were from Foolio\u2019s hometown of Jacksonville \u2014 reported the rapper\u2019s comings and goings back to their co-conspirators before he was ambushed by three gunmen as he was sitting in a car outside a hotel.<\/p>\n

The trio sprayed bullets that killed Jones and wounded three others.<\/p>\n

Andrews\u2019 lawyer, Jeremy McClymont, asked the judge for leniency for Andrews\u2019 \u201cminor\u201d role in the shooting.<\/p>\n

However, Foolio\u2019s mother, Sandrikas Mays, said Andrews was just as culpable as the others.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether she pulled the trigger or not, my son would still be alive today if she had not participated in carrying out the plan,\u201d the mother said.<\/p>\n

Mays argued Andrews was calculated in helping to target her son, and noted she followed through despite having opportunities to back out.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlicia\u2019s family can see her,\u201d Mays said. \u201cThey can talk to her. She can see her child, but I can\u2019t see my child.\u201d<\/p>\n

Julio Foolio was the alleged leader of a gang and was killed by rival gang members while he was celebrating his 26th birthday. Julio Foolio\/Facebook<\/p>\n

Jones was allegedly the leader of the 6 Block gang based in Jacksonville and he made \u201cdrill\u201d tracks mocking his gang rivals in gangs 1200 and Ace\u2019s Top Killers (ATC), according to trial testimony.<\/p>\n

The enemies saw that Foolio was planning a trip to Tampa, and traveled from Jacksonville to follow him so they could retaliate as part of the years-long feud.<\/p>\n

Andrews, 23, was tried on second-degree murder but the jury opted to convict her of manslaughter instead. <\/p>\n

The max she faced was 15 years.<\/p>\n

Five other defendants are set to get mandatory life sentences next month for their roles in his slaying. Julio Foolio\/Facebook<\/p>\n

McClymont said Andrews maintained her innocence and they planned to appeal.<\/p>\n

\u201cMiss Andrews\u2019 role is very much minor compared to those of her co-defendants in this case,\u201d her defense attorney said. \u201cWe obviously believe the facts of this case don\u2019t amount to a manslaughter charge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, the four other defendants \u2014 Chance, Sean Gathright, Davion Murphy and Rashad Murphy \u2014 were convicted on first-degree murder.<\/p>\n

The jury blocked the death penalty against those defendants.<\/p>\n
