Light winds, temperatures falling from 65 at 6 p.m., down to 62 at 7 p.m., and drifting into the upper 50s by 8 p.m. <\/p>\n

I know folks are keeping an eye on the Atlantic, so here\u2019s the latest on Hurricane Melissa. <\/p>\n
As of the 5 a.m. advisory, Melissa is still a Category 1 storm sitting just ahead of Bermuda. <\/p>\n
She\u2019s picking up the pace, moving northeast at 41 mph with sustained winds at 90 mph.<\/p>\n
While the storm did cause some major damage along its path\u2014our thoughts are with anyone affected\u2014there is no projected impact for Jacksonville or our surrounding area. <\/p>\n
Melissa is heading away from the US coast, and we\u2019re not expecting any direct effects here at home.<\/p>\n
