{"id":282132,"date":"2026-05-23T16:59:12","date_gmt":"2026-05-23T16:59:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/282132\/"},"modified":"2026-05-23T16:59:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-23T16:59:12","slug":"one-arrested-two-suspects-sought-in-fatal-shooting-of-st-petersburg-teen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/282132\/","title":{"rendered":"One Arrested, Two Suspects Sought In Fatal Shooting Of St. Petersburg Teen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A 14-year-old boy has died following a shooting on Thursday evening in south St. Petersburg, and one teen suspect has been arrested on felony murder charges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, officers responded just after 6:30 p.m. to the 4200 block of 15th Avenue South following reports of a shooting.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Advertisement &#8211;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Investigators say 14-year-old Gaige Santos-Brown was approached by three teens when shots were fired, critically injuring him. Santos-Brown was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, where he later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Detectives identified 16-year-old Kenneth Washington as one of the suspects involved in the shooting.
