JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 Summer swimming season officially kicked off Saturday as Jacksonville opened 30 community pools for Memorial Day weekend. An additional community pool is set to open later this summer.<\/p>\n
For Memorial Day weekend, here are outdoor pool hours:<\/p>\n
Saturday, May 23: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.Sunday, May 24: 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.Monday, May 25: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. <\/p>\n
Here are pre-season outdoor pool hours (May 23-31):<\/p>\n
Saturday: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.Sunday: 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. <\/p>\n
Note: Pools will only be open on Saturdays and Sundays during pre-season hours.<\/p>\n
Here are regular season outdoor pool hours (June 6 – Aug. 2)<\/p>\n
Monday-Friday: 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.Saturday: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.Sunday: 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. <\/p>\n

A city spokesperson told\u00a0First Coast News\u00a0that around 300 lifeguards are signed up for the summer season. However, the city said Friday it is still looking to hire a few more.
