This event has a dual function. For most participants, this will be their first showcase event – an initial step toward achieving a player\u2019s baseball goals. Part of this event is educational: there will be a lecture about what scouts look for, how to comport themselves, what to expect in the recruiting process, and the overall landscape of playing at the next level. The second function of the event is to identify young talent, and at the same time getting valuable coaching in the showcase process. As the preeminent scouting service across our 40+ state coverage area, the Prep Baseball Report is looking to identify promising young prospects at an earlier age so we can more accurately track their progress through their career.<\/p>\n
This event will also serve as an identifier for invitations to the\u00a0Junior Future Games\u00a0in July. The\u00a0Junior Future Games will run in conjunction with the Prep Baseball Report\u2019s Future Games. The Future Games features the top High School players in the Class of 2028 from across the Prep Baseball Report\u2019s 40+ state coverage area. It is one of the most highly recruited events of the summer and attracts more than 300 college coaches from across the country each year.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Junior Future Games, an\u00a0Invitation-Only event, will feature the best identified prospects from across the country in a four-day tournament at Lake Point in Cartersville, GA. Participants will compete against other top-level players while representing their respective states. The\u00a0Junior Future Games will take place July 23-26 at Lake Point in Cartersville, GA. This state-of-the-art facility features 8 all-turf fields. The event features guaranteed pool play games and will include single elimination bracket play to determine a champion in each age group.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Body Composition<\/p>\n

Players’ body composition will be officially measured using state-of-the-art, medical-grade technology that will provide precise insights into height, weight, skeletal muscle mass, BMI and more. Players will step on scales using bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), a method for measuring body composition, including muscle mass, body fat, and total body water.<\/p>\n

Our scales will then produce several metrics giving insight into the prospect\u2019s body composition. Height will be measured using a digital stadiometer to get precise height measurements.<\/p>\n

Grip Strength<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Hitters’ grip strength will be tested using a digital hydraulic dynamometer. Grip strength is an essential component to bat strength and controlling the barrel. Hitters will be put through a max strength test on both hands, shedding light on hand strength and potential power and bat control down the road.<\/p>\n
