TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -There are dozens of dogs awaiting adoption right now who would love nothing better than to celebrate a \u201chomecoming\u201d weekend of their own! It would be full of tail-wagging, not tail-gating!<\/p>\n

Furry Friday dogs Keke, Melon, Dottie and Zowie were among the 43 pets adopted at last weekend\u2019s \u201cPick a Pup-kin\u201d event. Zowie had been waiting nearly six months for the perfect family. <\/p>\n

Furry Friday is a collaboration between WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center designed to get dogs out of their kennels and into the spotlight in hopes of helping them find their fur-ever families, faster!<\/p>\n

Here are the Furry dogs we\u2019re featuring this week:<\/p>\n

MEET BUDDY\"BuddyBuddy has a ridiculously cute face and a very wagg-edy tail!(WCTV)<\/p>\n

Meet Buddy!<\/p>\n

This still wiggly pup is into running and playing and looking for a fun family to grow up with!<\/p>\n

Buddy is still working on his manners – but is a quick learner with a ridiculously cute face and a very wagg-edy tail!<\/p>\n

If Buddy is the perfect pup for your active, affectionate family, please visit him at the shelter this weekend!<\/p>\n

MEET WHISPER\"Whisper\u2019sWhisper\u2019s brother was adopted last weekend, she\u2019s hoping now it\u2019s her turn!(WCTV)<\/p>\n

Meet Whisper!<\/p>\n

This caramel cutie is a natural beauty. <\/p>\n

Whisper likes calm, cool people and really digs the sights, sounds and smells of the great outdoors. <\/p>\n

Long walks, bird watching, squirrel chasing – she\u2019s up for all of it!<\/p>\n

But Whisper definitely has a soft side. She likes being snuggled and carried. <\/p>\n

Whisper\u2019s brother was adopted last weekend, she\u2019s hoping now it\u2019s her turn!<\/p>\n

MEET PICKLES \"SweetSweet Pickles likes leaning in for back scratches and smooches.(WCTV)<\/p>\n

Meet Pickles! <\/p>\n

He\u2019s a sweet pickle, not a spicy or sour one!<\/p>\n

Pickles has eyes that match his gray spots and likes \u201cleaning in\u201d for back scratches and smooches. <\/p>\n

Pickles likes chasing squirrels and feeling the crunch of leaves under his feet. <\/p>\n

He is learning to play, loves treats and is looking for a family that excels in patience and pampering!<\/p>\n

This boy is mild mannered with lots of love to give. <\/p>\n

You can meet him at the shelter this weekend!<\/p>\n

MEET WILEY \"WileyWiley is a dog\u2019s dog. He loves toys and treats … he’s dreaming of a big backyard and another pup to play with!(WCTV)<\/p>\n

Meet Wiley!<\/p>\n

This charmer is into hugs and high fives!<\/p>\n

During our photo shoot, he did more hugging and high five-ing than he did walking!<\/p>\n

Wiley is a dog\u2019s dog. <\/p>\n

He loves toys and treats and is dreaming of a big backyard and another pup to play with.<\/p>\n

How Wiley wound up on the street no one knows, but he is more than ready for a soft landing and a family of his own! You better go ahead and make room on the couch!<\/p>\n

MEET AND GREET<\/p>\n

You can meet these dogs and dozens more awaiting adoption at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. It\u2019s located across from Tom Brown Park at 1125 Easterwood Drive in Tallahassee.<\/p>\n

People can walk through the kennels Wednesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. People can also visit by appointment the rest of the week from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

We are also wishing Rubble<\/a> safe travels as he was transported to a rescue up north with the promise of a new family there. Wishing him warm winters and cool summers!<\/p>\n
