(WCTV) &#8211; A Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been issued by Talquin Electric for Gadsden regional water system users, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.talquinelectric.com\/news-releases\/pbwn-cooks-landing-talquin-oaks-southern-country-ln-alma-yates-st-davidson-rd-ta\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.talquinelectric.com\/news-releases\/pbwn-cooks-landing-talquin-oaks-southern-country-ln-alma-yates-st-davidson-rd-ta\/\">press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The electric company listed Cooks Landing, Talquin Oaks, Southern Country Lane, Alma Yates Street, Davidson Road, Talquin Avenue, Loop Drive, Chinquapin Way, Louis Lane, Saint Andrews Street, Striper Way and Cold Springs Lane as affected areas.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"A Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been issued by Talquin Electric for Gadsden regional...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/SYPZPJAMB5FCDOEY4NGNLEGSUE.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>A Precautionary Boil Water Notice has been issued by Talquin Electric for Gadsden regional water system users, according to a press release.(Must credit Talquin Electric)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The notice was issued due to a water main break near Pat Thomas and Cooks Landing Road, per a statement from Talquin. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Talquin spokesperson said it\u2019d take a few hours to fix and there\u2019s no specific timeline for when the notice will be lifted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-center article-text\">More news out of the Big Bend:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">They are asking residents not to drink water without boiling it first. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cIn addition, the system may experience discolored tap water due to shifting sediments in the water main. Washing clothes with discolored water may tint or stain garments,\u201d the press release wrote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cPlease make sure to run water from an outside spigot or bathtub faucet to assure that water has been flushed before operating appliances.
