A far-right candidate for Florida governor bizarrely announced he was married to a mystery woman\u2014less than three months after he was publicly flaunting a different woman as his girlfriend.<\/p>\n

James Fishback, a right-wing investor currently running against a Trump-backed candidate in the gubernatorial race, announced on X on Saturday that he had tied the knot with his unnamed, previously unknown partner.<\/p>\n

\u201cLogging off for a bit. Getting married. Brb,\u201d Fishback wrote.<\/p>\n

Hours later, he shared a photo of himself and his now-wife standing at the altar.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. and Mrs. Fishback,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

But the 31-year-old\u2019s nuptials were not received as warmly as he may have hoped, given his recent public relationship with cryptocurrency influencer Francesca Raine, who previously dubbed herself \u201cCrypto Barbie.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fishback did not immediately respond to a request for comment, and Raine could not be reached. Fishback told The New York Post: \u201cI\u2019m on my honeymoon with my wife, Valeria. I don\u2019t have time for your AIPAC-inspired fake news,\u201d a reference to the pro-Israel lobby group that\u2019s become a contentious debate across the political spectrum.<\/p>\n

The candidate, who has garnered support from young far-right men, said in February that the pair split after he created a Tinder profile to campaign directly to \u201cyoung female\u201d residents, according to The New York Post.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve joined @Tinder to meet young female voters where they are, and share my plan to make it easier for them to get married, buy a home, and raise a family,\u201d he wrote on X at the time.<\/p>\n

Later, he added: \u201cupdate…i ran out of likes. could someone donate so i can get tinder plus?\u201d<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Fishback\u2019s critics were quick to point out the suspicious timeline.<\/p>\n

\u201cWeren\u2019t you on Tinder like two months ago? How did you meet this girl??\u201d one X user wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cSorry, hate to be that guy, but am I missing something here?\u201d another chimed in. \u201cYou were seriously dating someone else 4 months ago, and now you just married someone else? I mean, that\u2019s kinda crazy, no?\u201d<\/p>\n

The criticism appeared to be of little concern to Fishback, who later posed with his new wife in a selfie captioned: \u201cOur first date (as husband and wife).\u201d<\/p>\n

Others, however, offered praise.<\/p>\n

\u201cCongratulations!\u201d far-right influencer Nick Fuentes wrote on X.<\/p>\n

Later, Fishback tried to troll back by explaining how he met his betrothed, only to double back by calling his story \u201csarcasm.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI met her last week, got engaged on Wednesday, completed all of Catholic marriage prep on Thursday, found a venue Friday, and got married yesterday,\u201d he wrote. \u201cNow hire me as Governor so I can deliver this level of speed and efficiency for Florida.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fishback is campaigning against Trump-backed candidate Byron Donalds, a congressman currently leading in the polls.<\/p>\n

While Fishback trails far behind in the polls, he\u2019s joined a small but growing chorus of right-wing politicians and influencers criticizing Donald Trump for his betrayal of the campaign pledges that won him a second term in the White House.<\/p>\n
