FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 Treasure Coast high school students got a front-row seat to the future of medicine at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital\u2019s hands-on Robotic Discovery Day.<\/p>\n
In a Saturday news release, hospital officials said Robotic Discovery Day gave students hands-on experience with robotic surgical systems, letting them explore their capabilities and learn directly from experienced surgeons.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur goal is to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals by showing them the incredible technology and expertise we have right here on the Treasure Coast,\u201d said Eric Goldman, CEO of HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital. \u201cBy giving students a hands-on experience with robotic surgery, we hope to spark curiosity, encourage learning, and show them the exciting opportunities that a career in medicine can offer.\u201d<\/p>\n
