LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 Flames engulfed a garage in a Port St. Lucie home on Saturday, sparking an ongoing investigation into the cause of the fire that prompted nearby evacuations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/topic\/St.%20Lucie%20County%20Fire%20District\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The St. Lucie County Fire District<\/a> said that firefighters responded to a home fire on Saturday afternoon, around 1:56 p.m., in the 1300 block of Oakmont Lane in Port St. Lucie.<\/p>\n<p>When crews arrived, they reported finding heavy flames coming from the garage.
