PETERSBURG, Fla. &#8211; A 14-year-old has been killed after being approached by three teens on Friday night.<\/p>\n<p>What we know<\/p>\n<p>According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, around 6:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of 15th Avenue South, 14-year-old Gaige Santos-Brown was approached by three teenagers.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"standard-img w-full w-full h-auto\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/https:\/\/media.zenfs.com\/en\/aol_fox_aggregated_articles_807\/b52d360ade6d8e9b0962587e2319950a.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>SPPD said shots were fired during the altercation, critically injuring Santos-Brown. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives identified 16-year-old Kenneth Washington as one of the suspects in the shooting.
