The child, who is non-verbal and has autism, was left entirely unattended. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">The child left the home and wandered along the side of the road, near active traffic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 eJzHXc body-paragraph\">Carter is charged with child neglect by a caregiver.
