(WCTV) &#8211; A Tallahassee man is behind bars after posting a threat to commit a mass shooting on his Instagram account last Friday, according to court documents. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Derrick McMillian was arrested Thursday and is charged with making an electronic threat to commit a mass shooting, arrest documents say. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Derrick McMillian's mugshot.\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/RZPJIP4ZOVGN5LLNHETKCR6YRY.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Derrick McMillian&#8217;s mugshot.(Tallahassee Police Department)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He allegedly posted the threat in front of a bathroom mirror while holding an \u201cAR-15 style\u201d gun with a caption that said, \u201cFinna shoot the club up,\u201d per documents. The post also had a pin location of a restaurant in Railroad Square. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Meta flagged the post and sent it to the FBI, who then sent it to the Tallahassee Police Department, per court documents. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-center article-text\">More on crime in our area:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Arrest reports say there is no indication McMillian intended to carry out the threat, but TPD investigators said they believe he is capable of carrying it out, as officers saw him firing a handgun at the scene of a <a href=\"\" rel=\"\" title=\"\">deadly shooting on South Adams Street <\/a>in July. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to court documents, he was detained at the scene but later released.
