\n\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Daytona Beach Police Department is searching for a murder suspect on Wednesday who is wanted out of Alachua County.The suspect was accused of shooting his girlfriend and fleeing the scene, ultimately ending up in Daytona Beach, according to the chief. The suspect was identified as 31-year-old Xavion Perry III from Gainesville. He was described as a Black male standing approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall. He was last seen wearing all black clothing and white sneakers.Daytona PD said the suspect abandoned his vehicle at the Main Street beach approach and reportedly ran to the Main Street Pier, leading officers on a foot pursuit. Officers eventually lost sight of the suspect, but said they are continuing to actively search for him.Perry III has a criminal history that includes a felony charge for grand theft, two misdemeanors involving domestic violence and resisting without violence, according to Daytona police.”Residents, don’t approach him and notify police,” the chief said.
