TITUSVILLE, Fla. \u2014 Timothy Hudson, accused of killing his stepsister while on a cruise ship, attended a federal court hearing in Miami on Wednesday regarding a motion to revoke his bond.<\/p>\n

12:15 p.m. update:<\/p>\n

A federal judge ruled Wednesday afternoon that Timothy Hudson can remain out of jail and on bond before his trial, with certain restrictions.<\/p>\n

The U.S. Marshals Office will explore housing options for Hudson in the Tampa area.<\/p>\n

Hudson has most recently been staying with a relative in Hernando County.<\/p>\n

The stepbrother accused of killing a Titusville teen onboard a Carnival cruise ship will be back in court on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Timothy Hudson is accused of raping and killing Anna Kepner in November.<\/p>\n

Investigators determined Kepner died from mechanical asphyxiation, which means she could not breathe due to pressure on her neck. Hudson is expected back in court as the legal battle continues.<\/p>\n

Kepner was an A student at Temple Christian School, a lifelong gymnast and a cheerleader. <\/p>\n

She had plans to join the U.S. Navy after graduation with a dream of becoming a K-9 officer.<\/p>\n

Her life was cut short during a family cruise that was meant to celebrate her graduation. <\/p>\n

In a heartbreaking moment, Kepner\u2019s father accepted her diploma during her graduation ceremony, symbolizing the future she never experienced.<\/p>\n

Friends described Kepner as \u201cpure energy,\u201d \u201cbubbly,\u201d \u201cfunny\u201d and \u201coutgoing.\u201d She was known for her love of making people smile.<\/p>\n

Last fall, hundreds of people gathered for a celebration of life, remembering the joy Kepner brought to their lives. <\/p>\n

Her family says they are focused on keeping her memory alive and are pushing for justice.<\/p>\n
