CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WINK)\u2014Cape Coral Parkway is a road people know by routine\u2014the lights, the backups, the construction and the places they need to reach.<\/p>\n

Now the city wants those daily experiences to help shape a 20-year plan for what comes next. This week, the city is asking people to help steer the future of the parkway with an eight-question survey.<\/p>\n

The city said this is part of a 20-year plan for the parkway where there will be short-term, medium-term and long-term goals more than 10 years out. Not everyone sees the parkway the same way.<\/p>\n

“Cars everywhere all the time, it’s backed up bumper to bumper,” Brooke said. “And we just saw an accident the other day, nobody’s paying attention.”<\/p>\n

Aaron Alfred rides his bike near Cape Coral Parkway almost every day. While reviewing the survey, he shared his positive experiences.<\/p>\n

“I really have no concerns,” Alfred said. “Like, the traffic is pretty good, it’s not congested.”<\/p>\n

The city said they will keep the survey open until June 30. Right now, the future of Cape Coral Parkway<\/a> starts with answering eight questions from the people driving through day after day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"CAPE CORAL, Fla.
