<\/p>\nBronquell Hutchinson and Isaac Rodriguez are facing multiple felony charges after a series of armed robberies at Jacksonville food trucks and a restaurant.<\/p>\n
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 Two Jacksonville men are behind bars, accused of carrying out a string of armed robberies at food trucks and a restaurant before committing a shooting.<\/p>\n
Investigators say 26-year-old Bronquell Hutchinson and 21-year-old Isaac Rodriguez face multiple felony charges stemming from four separate cases in Jacksonville between May 19 and May 21.<\/p>\n

One of those robberies happened at the Tipicos Antojitos Hondure\u00f1os food truck off University Boulevard West.<\/p>\n
Edwin Osorto said it was late in the night on May 21 when two masked men walked up to his family\u2019s food truck as he was closing for the night.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I was about to close the door they came from the back and they pointed the gun on me. so they asked me for the money, but I didn\u2019t give the money to them ’cause I told them my auntie take the money and the stuff, but they was looking for the money and just take the phone,\u201d Osorto said.<\/p>\n
Surveillance video obtained by First Coast News shows two masked suspects walking up to the business before the robbery.<\/p>\n
According to the arrest report, one of the suspects stood close to Osorto, acting as a lookout while the other robbed him.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey was just asking for the money, but they didn\u2019t find nothing so they took the phone and they asked me for the password,\u201d Osorto said.<\/p>\n
After the robbery, Osorto said he called his brother.<\/p>\n
“I told him that was robbing the food truck, so my brother chased them and they were shooting at my brother,\u201d Osorto said.<\/p>\n
The owner says he then spotted the suspect\u2019s SUV and followed it into a parking lot, where he says he was shot at before the suspects drove away.<\/p>\n
First Coast News\u00a0obtained video showing bullet holes in the owner’s car. According to police, the owner reported the vehicle’s windshield and door were hit by multiple bullets. He and a passenger suffered minor injuries.<\/p>\n
JSO says officers later located the suspects\u2019 SUV and took them into custody.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hutchinson and Rodriguez were connected to robberies two days earlier at a Chinese restaurant on Fort Caroline Road and a taco truck on Powers Avenue.<\/p>\n
According to an arrest report, Hutchinson implicated Rodriguez as the shooter from the May 21 incident and said he had helped plan the robberies. Both Hutchinson and Rodriguez face multiple charges of armed robbery and attempted murder.<\/p>\n
Osorto said he is grateful to be alive.<\/p>\n
\u201cHappy and grateful ’cause Jesus give me another opportunity,\u201d Osorto said.<\/p>\n
