Time to hoist the Pride flags, St. Pete!<\/p>\n
June is Pride Month across America. In St. Petersburg, that means a schedule of activities focusing on the area\u2019s LBGTQ+ community, but open and inclusive to all.<\/p>\n
St. Pete Pride kicks off this weekend, and there are events for the kings, queens and in-betweens. This year\u2019s theme is \u201cHere Comes the Sun,\u201d an homage to the \u201cenergy, joy, and radiant spirit of Florida\u2019s largest LGBTQ+ celebration.\u201d<\/p>\n
The theme also touches upon the importance of visibility and inclusion, particularly today. While Tampa canceled its 2026 Pride events due to the \u201cpolitical and economic climate,\u201d St. Pete doubled down on its commitment to host its Pride Month celebrations.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe always say the rainbow can\u2019t come out without the sunshine,\u201d Bior Guigni, executive director of St. Pete Pride, told WFLA. \u201cThis is part of the community coming together.\u201d<\/p>\n
The festivities begin this Friday (May 29) with a street fair in the Grand Central district, from 5 to 9 p.m. Celebrations continue through the weekend with a pickleball tournament Saturday and drag brunch Sunday at the SkyBeach Resort, in the Skyway Marina District.<\/p>\n
Slay the Bay, a concert and night market, is scheduled for Friday, June 26 at Al Lang Stadium. Performers include Chinchilla, Flyanna Boss and Cain Culto. The evening will end with a fireworks display.<\/p>\n
As always, the month-long 2026 celebration culminates with the Pride Parade featuring more than 100 groups and organizations. This happens Saturday, June 27 along St. Pete\u2019s Bayshore Drive, stepping off at 6 p.m. from Albert Whitted Park.<\/p>\n
From 2 to 10 p.m., North and South Straub Parks will be festival-filled, with live music, local entertainers and artists, more than 100 booths and vendors, food and drink for purchase, and more.<\/p>\n
The annual Trans March will begin at 5:15 p.m. from Vinoy Park.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s a rundown of the full agenda for St. Pete Pride:<\/p>\n
May 29. Street Fair, Grand Central District, 5-9 p.m. Central Avenue between 20th Street to 31st Street will be closed to vehicles so that food vendors, performers and vendors can take over the area.<\/p>\n
May 30. Pickleball Tournament & Celebration, SkyBeach Resort, 7 a.m.-1 p.m. A beginner-to-intermediate pickleball event will bring players together for \u201cmovement, laughter, and Pride \u2013 on and off the court.\u201d<\/p>\n
May 31. Sundays are a Drag Brunch, SkyBeach Resort, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.<\/p>\n
June 4. Mayor Ken Welch will raise the Pride flag at City Hall at 9 a.m.<\/p>\n
June 7. Family Day on The Pier, St. Pete Pier, 10 a.m. -2 p.m. Kid- and pet-friendly activities, community resources and the 2nd Annual Pet Parade.<\/p>\n
June 11. Stonewall Reception, 2232 5th Ave S., 6 -11 p.m. An evening honoring the Stonewall Riots and its legacy for the LGBTQ+ community. The reception will offer a space for \u201creflection, recognition, and connection rooted in resilience and progress.\u201d<\/p>\n
June 12. Shuffle with Pride!, St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club, 10:30 a.m. Music, food, cocktails, and shuffleboard (obviously) to raise money for PFLAG, an LGBTQ+ organization serving all of Tampa Bay.<\/p>\n
June 13. Rowdies Pride Night, Al Lang Stadium, 7:30 -11:30 p.m. The Tampa Bay Rowdies celebrate Pride Month on the home field as they take on Hartford Athletics. Game ticket includes an accordion fan.<\/p>\n
June 18. Surreal Summer Nights at The Dali, The Dali Museum, 5 -8 p.m. The museum hosts DJ Darluz for a night of drinks, dancing, and \u201cjoyful energy\u201d at this free celebration held on its first-floor.<\/p>\n
June 19. Shades of Pride, Morean Center for Clay, 7-9 p.m. Shades of Pride celebrates Juneteenth and Pride by honoring the strength, brilliance and beauty of the Black queer community.<\/p>\n
June 25. Transtastic, the James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art, 6 -9 p.m. \u201cTranstastic aims to uplift and center the experiences of individuals within the community through a celebration of music, art and social gathering.\u201d<\/p>\n
