(WSVN) &#8211; The Halloween spirit was thriving at Nicklaus Children\u2019s Hospital in Southwest Miami-Dade.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital\u2019s nurses and young patients had a fun day of dressing up in their spookiest costumes and trick-or-treating through the main lobby.<\/p>\n<p>The holiday of doom and gloom bringing bright smiles to these kids\u2019 faces in a yearly tradition that helps connects patients and families with their medical team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s really important to give them a sense of normalcy while they\u2019re here at the hospital and they\u2019re able to enjoy their holiday,\u201d said Juliana Pereira for Nicklause Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is special to me because my family has been doing charities for hospitals for as long as I can remember,\u201d said Coco Mastrangelo, a resident. \u201cAnd ever since I moved to Florida, I wanted to do it at Nicklaus Children\u2019s Hospital to help the children here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The kids were also treated to a Halloween parade and pumpkin decorating.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2025 Sunbeam Television Corp.
