(WWSB) &#8211; Over a stretch of 30 days, the Tampa Bay Rays have been one of, if not the hottest team in all of baseball. However, that hot streak has cooled in recent days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Since April 22nd, Tampa Bay had rolled out 22 wins in a span of 26 games. They had the best record in the American League, leapfrogging AL East rival New York to the forefront of the division.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Since this past Sunday in the Bronx, however, the Rays have hit a snag.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Tampa Bay is currently on a three-game losing streak, with a loss on Sunday at Yankee Stadium, and then two straight losses to the Orioles at Camden Yards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Tonight Tampa looks to bounce back in their series finale against the Orioles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Rays\u2019 Manager Kevin Cash spoke this week after Tuesday\u2019s marathon 9-7 loss to Baltimore in 13 innings on the road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI\u2019m proud of the guys with how they went about that game,\u201d Cash said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThere was a lot of back and forth. Both teams did everything they could to win. We just came up on the short end of the stick,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Tampa Bay currently has a two-and-a-half game lead over New York in the AL East division standings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Gametime in Camden Yards is set for 6:35 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WWSB.
