A Florida cop pulled over what he thought was a distracted driver using her cellphone while she whizzed past him \u2014 but was floored when he learned she only had one hand.<\/p>\n

The cop marched over to Thomas\u2019 vehicle on the side of North Dixie Highway and told her that he caught her \u201cholding the phone with your right hand\u201d and \u201cmanipulating that phone\u201d while she was driving, according to police body camera footage obtained by CBS News<\/a>.<\/p>\n Her response: Thomas simply held out her right arm \u2014 flashing the stump where a hand would normally be.<\/p>\n The officer said he saw Thomas using her phone in her right hand. Palm Beach County Sheriff\u0092s Office<\/p>\n \u201cSo I\u2019m obviously not,\u201d she laughed. \u201cSo you wanna just call this a day?\u201d<\/p>\n The cop, though, refused to budge. <\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t want to \u2018call it a day,\u2019 he insisted. \u201cYou had a hand up.\u201d<\/p>\n A flabbergasted Thomas repeatedly told him he didn\u2019t see her right hand, since she didn\u2019t have one.<\/p>\n Thomas does not have a right hand.
