WEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) – A 26-year-old man was caught and cuffed after an attempted traffic stop led to a police pursuit of a stolen SUV that came to an end in Miami Gardens.<\/p>\n
7Skyforce hovered above the area of Northwest 17th Avenue and 153rd Street on Wednesday afternoon, capturing Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office deputies slowly following a black Cadillac. <\/p>\n
\u201cVery slow speed,\u201d said 7Skyforce\u2019s Ralph Rayburn from high above. <\/p>\n
According to deputies, Miami Gardens Police had flagged the stolen vehicle, and it had been spotted by MDSO deputies, who decided to conduct a traffic stop.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey tried to establish contact with the driver, to get that person to stop,\u201d said Rayburn. <\/p>\n
Deputies said they attempted to conduct a traffic stop of the car multiple times, but each time the driver would continue driving away.<\/p>\n
Cameras captured the vehicle being driven through street sidewalks and around neighborhoods as deputies followed behind. <\/p>\n
Deputies waited until Florida Highway Patrol troopers arrived due to the agency\u2019s pursuit policy that allows them to conduct Precision Immobilization Technique maneuvers.<\/p>\n
Upon FHP\u2019s arrival in an unmarked vehicle, cameras captured them bumping into the stolen vehicle, spinning it around and ultimately ending the pursuit.<\/p>\n
The subject, identified as Klauss Anthony Moise, halted the car and jumped out of it, beginning a foot pursuit into the front yard of a home.<\/p>\n
However, he didn\u2019t get far, as he hit a dead end and multiple officers quickly apprehended him behind a bush.<\/p>\n
Moise was then placed in an FHP cruiser and taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in West Miami-Dade.<\/p>\n
He is facing several charges, including second-degree grand theft\/vehicle, fleeing and eluding and driving under the influence.<\/p>\n
No injuries were reported. <\/p>\n
