Otero said that because of the planned construction, the city has decided that rehoming the swans will be best for their health and well-being.\n<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-18537\" class=\"size-large wp-image-18537\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Lake-1024x667.jpg\" alt=\"view across Lake Eola shows iconic fountain and Orlando skyline against blue sky, white clouds, and tree leaves\" width=\"1024\" height=\"667\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-18537\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">(COMMUNITY PAPER FILE PHOTO)<\/p>\n<p>The city will rehome the swans starting with their cygnets, then parents and the eggs the parent swans are nesting, Otero said. While the city is rehoming their captive swans, visitors may still spot free-ranging swans and other waterfowls.
