Because of a collision of sea breezes from the west and the east, the current chances of rain today are at 70%. <\/p>\n<p>The NWS indicates that these showers or storms could produce \u201clightning, gusty winds, and heavy downpours.\u201d They anticipate rainfall of between a tenth and a quarter of an inch, with higher totals possible. <\/p>\n<p>The stormy weather will likely continue into the evening, with the majority hitting before 9 p.m. The chances of precipitation at night drop to 60%.
