TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The trial for a Tallahassee man accused of abusing and killing his step-daughter has been delayed for a second time. <\/p>\n
Court records show Daniel Spencer\u2019s attorneys filed a motion to continue, citing the need for additional time to prepare for the possible penalty phase of the trial.<\/p>\n
The trial was previously slated to start on June 22. Court documents show the motion to continue was granted on Thursday. <\/p>\n
Spencer\u2019s trial, expected to span two weeks, is now scheduled to begin September 22, 2026. <\/p>\n
