ST. PETERSBURG, FL \u2014 All three teenage suspects are in custody in connection with the May 22 fatal shooting of 14-year-old Gaige Santos-Brown, St. Petersburg police said. <\/p>\n
The teens \u2014 a 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds \u2014 were charged with felony murder, police said. <\/p>\n
One of the 16-year-olds was also charged with violation of supervised release. <\/p>\n
Though police have released all three suspects\u2019 names, it\u2019s Patch policy not to identify those in the juvenile court system. It\u2019s unknown whether they\u2019re being charged as adults or juveniles. <\/p>\n
St. Pete police told Patch that the Pinellas-Pasco County State Attorney\u2019s Office will make that determination.<\/p>\n
Santos-Brown met with the teens on the night of the shooting just after 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
Shots were fired, striking the 14-year-old, who was brought to a local hospital with critical injuries, police said. He later died from his injuries. <\/p>\n
Investigators identified one of the 16-year-old suspects and he was arrested the night of the shooting. <\/p>\n
