JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 It\u2019s the end of an era for one of college football\u2019s most storied rivalries. This year\u2019s Florida-Georgia game on Saturday will be the last one played in Jacksonville for a while as EverBank Stadium prepares for major renovations.<\/p>\n
Fans are packing into RV City, soaking up every moment of the final Florida-Georgia weekend before the rivalry temporarily leaves town. Next year, the game moves to Atlanta, then to Tampa in 2027 \u2014 before returning to Jacksonville in 2028.<\/p>\n
>>> STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <<<<\/a><\/p>\n For many fans, this weekend is about tradition, tailgating, and team pride.<\/p>\n Gator fan Joe Clark said he\u2019s enjoying the peaceful energy before the big game but admits there\u2019s some concern about what\u2019s to come.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re a little bit worried about the next two years,\u201d Clark said. \u201cIt\u2019s all good. It\u2019s peaceful. It\u2019s nice. Little eating, a little drinking, a little drinking, a little eating.\u201d<\/p>\n Bulldog fan Rocky Readdick said for now, everyone\u2019s in good spirits \u2014 but that will change once the game kicks off.<\/p>\n \u201cRight now, no game\u2019s been played, no one\u2019s won or lost,\u201d Readdick said. \u201cEverybody\u2019s happy. But after tomorrow, there will be some happy people and some sad people.\u201d<\/p>\n
